Indie games were some of the best of last year, with some being nominated for Game of the Year.

Here’s everything announced at Xbox’s April ID@Xbox Showcase.

Vampire Survivors: Tides of the Foscari

BAFTAs Game of the Year, Vampire Survivors, receives its new expansion tomorrow, April 13, 2023.

It will add eight new characters, 13 new weapons, and a whole new area to play in.

Coffee Talk: Episode 2

The sequel to 2020’s Coffee Talk, Hibiscus and Butterful will continue on the adventure of running your own coffee shop.

The joy here is in meeting and talking to new customers, as Episode 2 releases on April 20, 2023.

Homestead Arcana

Farming sims are a popular genre at the moment, and this game hopes to mix things up by adding in a pinch of witchcraft and magic.

Restore the world to its former glory with RPG elements, when Homestead Arcana releases on April 21, 2023.

Cassette Beasts

A new take on the Pokémon catch ‘em all formula, Cassette Beasts reinvents the genre with an ‘80s style.

Use your Walkman to catch new monsters when it is released on April 26, 2023, for PC, and later in Spring on console.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox

More gameplay was shown, specifically of the combat, in this supernatural detective thriller.

There isn’t long to wait either, as The Last Case of Benedict Fox will be released on April 27, 2023.

Omega Strikers

Free-to-play online multiplayer, Omega Strikers puts you in 3v3 matches in an air hockey-style game.

You’ll also be able to take out the opposing sides with traps, when it releases on April 27, 2023.

Closer the Distance

When a girl passes away in a tragic accident, her spirit is left to watch over the folks still remaining in her small town.

You can take control to change the fates of each resident when this game is released “soon”.

The Explorator

The cartoon style is the first thing you’ll notice about The Explorator, before you then realise that it’s an FPS.

You’ll clash with all the creatures on your path, when it is released “soon”.

The Karters 2: Turbo Charged

A new game to enter the Kart racing scene, taking on behemoths like Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing.

Karters 2 will allow players to take each other on in up to six-player split screen when it is released in 2023.

Lil’ Guardsman

In a Papers Please-style simulator, you decide who can enter and who is refused from your town.

Only you can reverse time, but you’ll also have to be careful of doing irreversible damage when it releases in 2023.

This dark fantasy story mixes together various myths and legends from all over Southeast Asia.

With your guide in tow, speak to others to find your way home and break your curse. No release date set for this one yet.
