Having shuffled across his stumps, he left a sliver of leg stump exposed, and Rajitha’s cutter was on target.
Rahul was attempting to up the ante with India seeking a huge total. A platform of 213-3 in 29.1 overs was laid by the time he entered, and he made 39 off 29 to push India on further. With 10 overs left, he looked to kick on, driving Rajitha inside-out over extra cover for four.
However, attempting to go even bigger next ball, he was outfoxed, with Rajitha’s slower-ball dominant strategy bringing rewards.
