BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Police say a victim who was shot in December during an attempted armed robbery died from their injuries on Thursday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said the victim, Elishabazz Ferdinand, 50, died at a care facility.
Investigators said the attempted armed robbery happened on Dec. 8 around 2:09 a.m. in the 4800 block of Winbourne Avenue. Police said the shooting suspect is unknown and asked the public for information.
