The construction of a Hard Rock hotel on Canal Street in New Orleans collapsed Saturday morning.
Video provided to local CBS-affiliated television station WWL-TV shows the harrowing moments when the building's frame fell several stories in the air to the street.
It is unknown at this point what caused the collapse or what injuries may have occurred.
The video shows several people running from the collapse.
The New Orleans Fire Department and emergency medical services and the police have responded to the scene at Canal and North Rampart streets.
The hotel was expected to open in the spring, according to The Associated Press.
