We continue to amble towards the end of the year.
The Yankees were quiet through Christmas, but the day after, they dropped a bombshell: they traded Estevan Florial! The outfielder had been almost in Yankee purgatory for a while, too good for Triple-A, but not good enough, in the Yankees’ eyes, for the bigs, e wish him luck in Cleveland, while New York welcomes right-hander Cody Morris. The 27-year-old has good numbers as a reliever in the minors, though just 31.2 innings in the majors to his name.
After a couple of light days for the holidays, we’re back to a more normal schedule today. Andres will kick us off with an analysis of what Morris could bring to the table, while Esteban writes up the great Rickey Henderson as we reach the top 40 of our Top 100 series. Plus, Malachi analyzes what Carlos Rodón needs to do in 2024 to bounce back from his dreadful Bronx debut.

2. Are you surprised the Yankees were able to get anything for Florial? Or did you expect more in a trade for the outfielder?
