12 must-have products if you're not a morning person

USA Today Technology 1 month ago

You can tell a lot about a person just by asking them if they're a night owl or an early bird. In my case, I usually hit the snooze button about 10 times before finally rousing myself from bed. If you're like me and need all the help you can get, ahead you'll find 12 products that will make waking up and enjoying your mornings a little bit easier.

Reviewed's editors review and recommend products to help you buy the stuff you need. If you make a purchase by clicking one of our links, we may earn a small share of the revenue. However, our picks and opinions are independent from USA TODAY’s newsroom and any business incentives.

If you usually get out of bed at the last posssible second, you likely don't have time to eat a hearty breakfast. Smoothies are a quick solution that will still fill you up, and a personal blender makes it especially easy to take with you on the go since the top doubles as a cup. The Ninja Fit is our favorite personal blender because it's just the right size and has impressive blending power. ($39 on Amazon)

Meal prepping at night can take the stress out of packing your lunch in the morning, but to do so, you'll want a set of durable containers to store your meals in. We highly recommend this 10-pc storage set by Pyrex, because the glass containers and silicone lids are well-made, easy to clean, and safe in both the microwave and oven. ($62.99 on Target)

The sound of a blaring alarm clock can instantly put you in a grumpy mood when you wake up, so why not switch to something a little more calming? The Philips Wake Up Light slowly simulates a sunrise with its red-tinted light that gradually increase in brightness, which can help you wake up naturally and be in a better mood to begin your day. ($138.92 on Amazon)

If you need something a little more intense than the Philips Light or your phone's alarm app, consider the Sonic Bomb, a vibrating alarm clock that will rumble your bed and pulsate lights to ensure you don't hit that snooze button. More than 7,000 heavy sleepers on Amazon have given a  4.5-star rating, so that should tell you that it's powerful enough to rouse even the zombies among us. ($33.02 on Amazon)

I barely have the energy to put on a decent outfit in the morning, so styling my hair is a whole other story. Bed head must be tamed somehow though, and a great solution is a silk pillowcase like this one from Alaska Bear. Over 5,000 reviewers swear by it for taming frizzy, messy, hair when they wake up, and being breathable and comfortable to sleep on. ($22.99 on Amazon)

A coffee maker is the most obvious product on this list, but figuring out which one will brew the best cup of joe isn't as clear. Thankfully we've tested a ton of models at Reviewed, and can proclaim Breville's Nespresso VertuoPlus as the best single-serve pod coffeemaker because it can brew rich, aromatic coffee, produce a yummy, foamy crema, or make a delicious espresso which are all sure to tempt you come morning. ($122.49 on Amazon)

There's nothing like jumping in the shower to wake you up in the morning and leave you feeling refreshed. The products you use in the shower can also help with that, like this energizing body wash from Jack Black, which contains organic ingredients such as rosemary, eucalyptus, and juniper berry that produce an invigorating scent and can help awaken the senses. ($10.00 on Amazon)

Dark circles and under-eye puffiness can be a dead giveaway of just how tired you are. These La Pure patches are the #1 best-seller for eye masks, as they can help hydrate your undereye and reduce those darned bags under your eyes, thanks to ingredients like collagen and hyaluronic acid. ($21.97 on Amazon)

It's never fun to change out of your comfy pajamas into workwear, but these Bamans yoga pants are basically the next best thing. Made from a stretchy, comfy material, they're versatile enough to wear to work as well as to the gym afterwards. Reviewers praise them for being true to size and perfectly opaque. ($22.99 on Amazon)

If you're rushing out the door, realizing you have greasy hair is the last thing you need. That's where our favorite dry shampoo can come in handy. We preferred the Dove Refresh to other dry shampoos as it had a clean smell, and was able to rejuvenate hair without leaving any powdery, unsightly residue. ($4.89 on Target)

If you want to make your shower a little more enjoyable in the morning, why not add your favorite tunes into the mix? Of course, you'll need a waterproof shower speaker that will be totally resistant to any splashes or steam. Reviewers swear by this one by VicTsing, which is Bluetooth compatible, has a long-lasting battery, and is super loud to boot. ($13.85 on Amazon)

Losing your keys can make you late and drive you absolutely mad in the morning, but alas, there's a product that can help. The Bluetooth key tracker Tile Mate attaches right to your key ring, so you never have to stress about lost keys again. ($18.07 on Amazon)
