Two of the five remaining unbeatens fell last weekend causing changes to the New Year's Six bowls. Meanwhile, the College Football Playoff field remained the same with LSU leading Ohio State, Clemson and Oregon after the action in Week 12.
Minnesota and Baylor were in strong positions before their first losses. After falling to Iowa and Oklahoma, respectively, the Golden Gophers and Bears are now out of the picture for the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl, too.
Penn State moves up as the Big Ten representative in the Rose Bowl ahead of its showdown at Ohio State. A win would move the Nittany Lions into playoff position. A good showing would likely secure a trip to Pasadena. Oklahoma solidifies its hold on the Sugar Bowl with a likely rematch against Baylor coming on neutral ground in Arlington, Texas.
One other adjustment to the New Year's Six sees Virginia Tech slide up to the Orange Bowl. The Hokies are the hottest team in the ACC behind Clemson, but still must beat Pittsburgh and Virginia before securing a trip to the conference title game.
A reminder: Some conferences may not fulfill their bowl allotment. Asterisks denote a replacement pick. Teams in bold have accepted berths.
