Here’s a look at who’s set to be active and inactive in this NFL pre-game injury report for Week 9:
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs (knee) — While there was some optimism Mahomes might make a quick return, he’s expected to remain out for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers (shoulder) — Conner is not expected to play against the Colts, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who adds Conner is also “in jeopardy” of missing Week 10.
Chris Thompson, RB, Washington Redskins (toe) — Thompson will be out against the Bills, setting Adrian Peterson up for workhorse status once again.
Chris Herndon, TE, New York Jets (hamstring) — Herndon is practicing on a limited basis but it appears he’s still not ready and is unlikely to play against the Dolphins. He’s yet to play this season.
Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans (ankle) — Walker will remain out once again against the Panthers and it’s uncertain when he’ll return. Jonnu Smith has filled in well for Walker.
James White, RB, New England Patriots (toe) — The pass-catching back is expected to play Sunday night against the Ravens as his injury is “very minor,” per Ian Rapoport.
Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings (hamstring) — Thielen, who missed last week’s game against Washington, is questionable but is expected to play against the Chiefs, according to multiple reports.
Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants (concussion) — Shepard is set to return Monday night against the Cowboys after recovering from his second concussion of the season.
DeSean Jackson, WR, Philadelphia Eagles (abdomen) — Jackson is trending toward a return to game action for the first time since Week 2, according to multiple reports.
Curtis Samuel, WR, Carolina Panthers (shoulder) — Samuel is expected to suit up against the Titans after being listed as questionable, according to Ian Rapoport.
Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers (toe) — Adams hasn’t played since Week 4 but practiced on a limited basis throughout the week. Ian Rapoport reports there’s “optimism” from the Packers that Adams will return, but he’ll need to come through a pre-game workout OK to play against the Chargers at 4:25 p.m.
