F1 Japanese Grand Prix LIVE: Latest updates from Suzuka as Lewis Hamilton looks to extend lead at the top

THE JAPANESE Grand Prix will stage qualifying and the race on the same day for just the fifth time.

With Formula One teams locked into their hotels because of Typhoon Hagibis, all the action will take place on one day.

Rain and strong winds are expected in Suzuka so there could be some real thrills and spills in this one as Lewis Hamilton looks for his tenth win of the season.

  • Qualifying taking place from 2am BST
  • Race starts at 6.10am
