Late night writer to Trump: 'Do your job for once'

A writer and producer for "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" hit back at President Trump on Saturday after the president ripped late night shows in an early morning tweet on Saturday.

"That's not how it works. You're not campaigning. You're the president. Now kindly stop tweeting nonsense and go do your job for once," Mike DiCenzo tweeted in response to Trump.

The tweet came after Trump lashed out at late night comedians, and said he and Republicans should be given "equal time" on television.

Trump’s tweets came about an hour after Fox News’s “Fox and Friends” aired a segment accusing late-night comedians like Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel of “[taking] a hard turn to the left.”

Kimmel has taken to delivering emotional monologues over the past few weeks, addressing hot-button political issues.

He has been a proponent of preserving ObamaCare, using his son's heart condition has inspiration.

Kimmel gave a tearful monologue after the Las Vegas shooting earlier this week, and slammed congressional Republicans for not taking more action on gun control.
