Hillary Clinton talks Trump, Graham, Sanders and sexuality in new Howard Stern interview

WASHINGTON – Former Secretary of State and first lady Hillary Clinton made an appearance on The Howard Stern Show Wednesday, and discussed President Donald Trump, some of his supporters on Capitol Hill, the 2016 election, and even her sexuality.

Clinton denied years-old rumors and tabloids claiming that she was interested in women, telling Stern jokingly that “contrary to what you may hear, I actually like men” when describing her dating life before her relationship with President Bill Clinton.

Stern then asked Clinton to raise her right hand and swear that she “never had a lesbian affair.”

"Never, never, never," she responded. "Never even been tempted, thank you very much."

Clinton was on the show promoting "The Book of Gutsy Women," a book about heroic women co-written with her daughter, Chelsea Clinton.

Clinton also criticized her former colleague, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, saying it was like he "had his brain snatched."

Graham had been a critic of Trump during the 2016 election but has since become one of his fiercest defenders.

“Has he sold his soul to the devil?” Stern asked about the South Carolina senator.

Clinton responded, “I don’t know. That’s a fair question, however,” continuing to discuss his support of Trump despite the president's attacks on the late Sen. John McCain, whom Graham was close to.

“What I don't understand is how he went from being the friend and the real confidant of the Maverick — John McCain — who I didn't agree with politically, but I found him to be a man of integrity, a man of real strength and conviction,” Clinton said. “I don’t know what’s happened to Lindsey Graham.”

Stern asked Clinton if she was “upset” with how long it took Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Democratic primary opponent to Clinton in 2016, to endorse her after she won the nomination.

“No, disappointed," Clinton answered. "And I hope he doesn't do it again to whoever gets the nomination."

"Once is enough. We have to join forces,” Clinton continued, agreeing with Stern that he could've endorsed her quicker, and in not doing so that "there's no doubt about it, he hurt me."

Clinton continued to discuss Trump's inauguration day, calling it one of the hardest days of her life. When elaborating on Trump's "bizarre" speech, Clinton recalled former President George W. Bush leaning over and telling her, "Well, that was some weird s--t.”

This was Clinton's first time appearing on Stern's show. She has made frequent media appearances the last few months to promote the book. During one interview, she said the “gutsiest” personal thing she's ever done was "stay in my marriage."

Stern pressed her on staying in the public eye, asking her if she would ever want to go into "full seclusion."

She responded that "would only delight my adversaries, so I would never do that.”
