FDA Nominee Hahn Expected to Face Questions on Vaping Policy

The Wall Street Journal Politics 3 weeks ago

WASHINGTON—Stephen M. Hahn is expected to face pointed questions on the Trump administration’s shift on vaping regulation when he appears before a Senate panel Wednesday that will consider his nomination to lead the Food and Drug Administration.

Mr. Trump promised in September to ban e-cigarette flavors, and the administration said that included fruity, mint and menthol ones that appeal to young people. But he changed course in recent days, delaying action and making plans to meet with vaping-industry representatives.
