Regarding Erica Komisar’s “The Child-Rearing Wisdom of ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’” (op-ed, Nov. 23): It was heartening to read Dr. Komisar on the wisdom of Mr. Rogers regarding child rearing. As a psychiatrist who has practiced for more than 40 years and still does psychodynamic-psychoanalytic psychotherapy, I completely agree with her on the importance of empathetic parenting in raising decent human beings.
