Republicans are in the ascendancy because of the left’s preoccupation with cows and climate change

I just wanted to thank The Plain Dealer for publishing “Are my hamburgers hurting the planet?” from the Washington Post on Dec. 1. These are the sort of articles that tip swing voters over the edge to the Republican side. The sentence that stands out the most to me in this piece is, “A shift in government policies about farming and food that will allow these changes to happen in an equitable and just way.”

There was a tangible reason for the Trump victory and Brexit. The left has been in the sunshine for so many decades that they have become blinded to the needs of the working-class people that put them in power in the first place.

People everywhere are waking up big time, and I just wanted to say, keep up the good work.
