Willie and weed are still the best of friends.
Willie Nelson might not smoke he like used to, but the “On the Road Again” singer still likes his pot, his spokesperson said Wednesday.
The 86-year-old country legend rolled up some headlines this week after saying his toking days are over due to health issues. But Nelson, who’s famous for his appreciation of marijuana, still finds ways to get his fix, said Elaine Shock, his spokesperson.
“He still uses cannabis,” Shock told the Daily News. “He’s relying on vapes, and edibles, but hasn’t given up cannabis.”
Nelson told ABC affiliate KSAT-TV that he’s put a focus on better self-care as he deals with difficulties breathing. The Texas-born music icon still tours and is a longtime advocate for marijuana legalization.
“I have abused my lungs quite a bit in the past, so breathing is a little more difficult these days and I have to be careful," Nelson told KSAT. “I don’t smoke anymore — take better care of myself.”
