KATE Middleton and Prince William have delighted royal fans after sending out adorable thank you cards on behalf of Prince George.
The couple’s eldest, who turned 6 in July, was inundated with well-wishers from the public and his parents were keen to thank those who were kind enough to write to him.
Royal fan account loopycrown3 shared a snap of the thank you card they received from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on behalf of their son on Instagram.
The front features the very same snap of Prince George that was shared on his birthday, seeing him wearing his England footie shirt and beaming at the camera.
The reverse is printed with a message from the Duke and Duchess expressing their gratitude.
Watermarked with the Kensington Palace notepaper, it reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appreciated your kind thought in writing to Prince George on the occasion of his sixth birthday.
“This was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their best wishes.”
The delighted Instagram user captioned their snap: “Wonderful postcard from the Cambridges thanking me for sending my birthday wishes to HRH Prince George of Cambridge.”
And fellow royal fans were quick to praise the touching message in the comments.
“Cute picture” wrote one, with another commenting, “It’s very cool to get such a beautiful card!”
This particular photo of George was first shared back on July 21, the day before the third-in-line to the throne’s sixth birthday.
In two of the photos, taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, Prince George has swapped his typical smart shirt and shorts for the patriotic sports top.
