Discharging a weapon, Rockledge Drive: On Oct. 21, police were dispatched to Rockledge Drive regarding a firearm that was discharged behind a resident’s home.

An arriving officer talked to the resident, who said shots were coming from behind a neighbor’s home.

An arriving officer went to the house, where he found two teenagers in the backyard holding rifles. They were ordered to drop their firearms.

The two men –a minor and an adult -- admitted to shooting the rifles. They were both arrested for discharging a firearm.

The two .22 caliber long rifles were safely unloaded and secured by officers in the patrol car. The police also found 28 live .22 rounds, as well as 84 empty .22 shell casings.

The officer said the resident was apologetic and fully cooperative.
