The Rose family have come a long way since losing their worldly possessions, fortune and wigs in the pilot episode of Schitt's Creek on Netflix.
While they may have started out a little pretentious, precious and pampered, Moira, Johnny, David and Alexis are now well-rounded, decent humans, who have garnered a wide fan base thanks to the show's perfect combination of witty one-liners and heartwarming scenes.
It stands to reason, then, that viewers were left devastated after the show's co-creator and actor who plays David Rose, Dan Levy, announced the news in June that the series was concluding for good.
And now, the reveal of a teaser trailer for the final set of episodes has got people people emotional again.
Back in June, accompanied a picture of the motel with a message for "our dear fans", writing: "We are very excited to announce that Schitt’s Creek is coming back for a sixth season on CBC and Pop in 2020!
"We also wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that we’ve decided season six will be our last.
"We are so grateful to have been given the time and creative freedom to tell this story in its totality, concluding with a final chapter that we had envisioned from the very beginning. It’s not lost on us what a rare privilege it is in this industry to get to decide when your show should take its final bow. We could never have dreamed that our fans would grow to love and care about these characters in the ways that you have.
"We are all so excited to begin shooting these last fourteen episodes and can’t thank you enough for the overwhelming love and generosity you’ve shown us. We hope you continue to enjoy the rest of our fifth season as we prepare to shoot our sixth!
"Best Wishes and Warmest Regards,
"Dan and Eugene Levy."
Taking to social media on Monday night, Levy also posted the short teaser trailer for season six - which is giving us all the feels. One fan wrote: "We simultaneously lap up and reject this content."
Another added: "I don't think this fandom will make it through S6 in one piece."
A third remarked: "I'm an emotional wreck and all I can say is thank you. You've changed my life and so many others with this show, in the best way."

What does the trailer reveal about season 6?
Sadly, not a lot. It does, however, show the Stevie and the Roses dressed in their finest, presumably for David and Patrick's wedding.
We're hoping to see more from Alexis and vet boyfriend Ted, who finally reconciled their differences and got back together in season 5, before setting off to the Galapagos Islands.
We also need there to be a happy ending for everyone's favourite motel receptionist, Stevie Budd.
What happened in season 5?
As fans will recall, Patrick asked David to marry him, after the pair had a disastrous trek up a mountain.
Alexis showed off her entrepreneurial skills, as she hosted a single's week in Schitts Creek - only to be surprised when Ted showed up to tell her he loves her.
Stevie wowed us with her amazing vocals, as she starred in the town's production of Cabaret.
And, of course, Moira found out that her movie The Crows Have Eyes was not going to see the light of day.
