Blotter: Dog reported stolen from Evanston yard

The following items were taken from Evanston Police Department reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Theft

Building materials and miscellaneous merchandise were taken from the 700 block of Dobson Street it was reported on Nov. 13. The amount of loss exceeds $500.

Domestic battery

Kaleb B. Williams, 25, of the 1800 block of West Touhy Ave., Chicago, was charged Nov. 13 with domestic battery in the 7000 block of North Clark St. Williams was given a Nov. 27 court date.

Criminal damage

Edgar Valdivia Gomez, 27, of the 700 block of North Overlook Circle, Round Lake, was charged with criminal damage to property at the Evanston police department in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue on Nov. 12. Gomez was given a Dec. 26 court date.

Battery

Ted K. Velleff, 60, of the 2700 block of West Roosevelt Road, Chicago, was charged with battery in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue Nov. 16.

Stolen dog

A dog was taken from a yard in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue on Nov. 10.

Shots fired

There was a report of shots fired in the 2700 block of Park Place Nov. 10 but responding officers did not find anything.

Residential burglary

A laptop computer and hardware were taken from an apartment in the 1100 block of Foster Street Nov. 8. The amount of loss exceeds $500.

A purse, wallet, a bag with contents, clothes and furs were taken from an unlocked apartment in the 1800 block of Simpson Street Nov. 8.

Retail theft

Alcohol was taken from a store in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue Nov. 11.

Burglary to a vehicle

A purse, a wallet and bag with contents were stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Broadway Avenue it was reported Nov. 11.
