Lake Bluff police blotter: Woman faces DUI, traffic charges after crash

The following items were taken from the Lake Bluff Police Department reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

DUI

Laura A. Minnis, 54, of the 300 block of Foss Court, Lake Bluff, was charged Nov. 9 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol content higher than .08, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a crash near the intersection of Sheridan Road and East Sheridan Place, police said. She was released on a $1,000 bond and on condition of the surrender of her driver’s license. She has a scheduled court date of Dec. 20.

No valid driver’s license

Leslie Alarcon, 25, of the 1400 block of Victoria Avenue, North Chicago, was charged Nov. 10 with driving without a valid license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with expired registration after she was stopped near the intersection of Route 43 and Atkinson Road, police said. She was released on a $2,000 recognizance bond and has a scheduled court date of Dec. 3.
