Timber! Painful moment drunk man falls off a ladder after cutting a branch off a tree

Daily Mail Online 3 weeks ago

Video footage captured the painful moment a drunk man took a tumble off a ladder after cutting down a tree branch.

The clip shows the man using a chainsaw to cut down the large branch. As the branch fell to the ground it took out the ladder, sending the man crashing on to the lawn.

It is not known what his injuries were or where the incident happened but it is thought to be in the U.S.

The video was shot by a neighbor who claimed that the man was intoxicated.

While many homeowners jump on a ladder and fire up a chain saw to cut down tree limbs, Tree Care Tips.org says that combination is quite dangerous.

'There are many stories in the news media each year depicting the sad details of homeowners getting severely injured or killed by attempting to manage large tree limbs on their own,' Tchukki Andersen, Board Certified Master Arborist and staff arborist for the Tree Care Industry Association told the website.

Andersen added: 'There is so much to understand about removing live or hanging tree branches, and it is not at all like cutting up firewood on the ground with a chain saw.'
