Famed Warner Bros. studio lot evacuates because of wildfire

A wildfire broke out next to the famed Warner Bros. studio lot near Hollywood, forcing actors and movie makers to evacuate, according to a report Sunday.

The blaze tore through at least 34 acres of land Saturday just north of the 110-acre site in Burbank —  where movies such as “A Star is Born,” “Blade Runner” and “Argo” were filmed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

No workers were injured and no buildings were damaged on the lot, which is comprised of dozens of sound stages, sets and costumes, according to the company’s website.

The film-making facility was evacuated on Saturday afternoon “as a precautionary measure” by the studio, a spokesman for Warner Bros. Entertainment told the outlet.

Before he left, actor Scott Eastwood posted an Instagram photo of smoke rising behind the Warner Bros. sign, but said his father Clint Eastwood stayed because there was “work to be done.”

One firefighter suffered an injury to his arm and was taken to a hospital in the area, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. There were no civilian injuries.

On Sunday, the fire was 15 percent contained, according to the outlet.
