The following items were taken from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff police reports and press releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Vincent J. Puccio, 59, of the 1200 block of Conway Road in Lake Forest, was charged Oct. 16 with criminal damage to property, possession of ammunition without a Firearm Owners Identification card and driving with an expired license following a traffic stop near Telegraph and Old Elm Road. He was released on a $2,500 bond with a notice to appear in court Nov. 22, police said.
Edmundo Calvo-Gomez, 41, of the 500 block of Smith Avenue in Lake Bluff, was charged Oct. 18 with felony aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol for a third DUI, felony aggravated driving with a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign following a traffic stop near Sheridan and Moffett roads. He was held on a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 19, police said. No further court information was available.
Jose L. Villegas, 29, of the 1100 block of Jackson Street in Waukegan, was charged Oct. 13 with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop near McKinley and Sheridan roads. He was held on a $30,000 bond, pending transport to Waukegan. No further court information was available.
Police received reports of three unlocked cars being burglarized Oct. 14 while the cars were parked outside a residence in the 100 block of East Woodland. A total of $10 was reported missing, police said.
An unknown amount of money reportedly was stolen Oct. 14 from a sedan while it was parked in the 700 block of Oak Avenue. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.
Police received reports of four unlocked cars being burglarized during the overnight hours between Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 in the 500 block of East Center Avenue, the 300 block of East Blodgett Avenue, the 500 block of East Prospect Avenue and the 600 block of Maple Avenue. A car parked in the 600 block of East Moffett Road also was forcibly entered during that time frame, police said. Electronics and miscellaneous money were stolen during the burglaries, police said. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
Maygen A. Hall, 29, of the 2000 block of Forrestal Village Drive in North Chicago, was charged Oct. 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Rockland Road. She was released on a $3,000 bond with a notice to appear in court Nov. 15, police said.
A resident reported Oct. 17 a deceptive practice after being contacted by an individual who claimed to be a federal agent, police said. The caller convinced the resident to transfer several thousand dollars to the individual, police said. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
