The owner of a Northbrook massage parlor was charged Thursday with promoting prostitution after undercover Cook County sheriff’s deputies discovered that she forced a woman to perform sex acts on customers, according to a news release from the Cook County sheriff’s office.

Olga Bondar, 34, who runs a massage parlor in the 1900 block of Shermer Road, was arrested at her home in southwest suburban Worth.

After a tip from the Northbrook Police Department, sheriff’s deputies conducted surveillance, where they observed several men coming and going from the parlor, according to the release. Undercover deputies met a 39-year-old woman at the massage parlor who agreed to perform sex acts for money.

On Thursday, sheriff’s deputies and Northbrook police officers questioned the woman, who identified the owner of the parlor, and said Bondar required her to perform sex acts on customers.

The woman was not charged with a crime, according to the release.

Sheriff’s office victim advocates offered her social services, according to police.

Promoting prostitution is a felony, according to the release.

Bondar appear in bond court Friday and is free on a $20,000 individual recognizance bond, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Matt Walberg.

She is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 9 in Skokie on the charges.
