LORDE was forced to apologise after posting a picture of a bathtub next to Whitney Houston lyrics online.
The Royals singer, 21, caused an angry backlash after sharing the snap of a running tub and caption: "And iii will always love you."
Whitney died aged 48 in 2012 after drowning in a bathtub.
She suffered a massive heart attack, with years of drug abuse taking its toll on her body.
Eerily, her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown also died in the bath in mysterious circumstances.
Almost instantly after Lorde posted the picture, social media was awash with people slamming her for being insensitive.
One wrote: "This is disgusting idk how people find it funny.

Y'all. Lorde just made a Whitney Houston bathtub joke. I would say cancel her, but canceled folks just end up being more successful in the long run.— tyrese sanders (@tysandsnyc) April 6, 2018

Others backed her saying: "Wait y’all genuinely believe Lorde was trying to make a joke about Whitney’s death? weirdos."
The Green Light singer quickly deleted the image and apologised on her Instagram stories.
She wrote: "Extremely extremely poorly chosen quote.
"I'm so sorry for offending anyone - I hadn't even put this together I was just excited to take a bath.
"I'm an idiot. Love Whitney forever and ever. Sorry again."
She later added a second post saying:"IT IS NOT MY FKN DAY TODAY."
