Missouri mom posts devastating photos of drug-addict son in desperate plea

New York Daily News 4 days ago

One Missouri mother, expressing anguish over her drug-addled son, posted shocking images before and after his battle with heroin and methamphetamines.

Jennifer Salfen-Tracy of Wentzville, Mo., penned the tear-inducing Facebook message on Wednesday in a desperate attempt to reach out to her ravaged child.

“For my family and friends who know me know that my oldest son Cody Bishop is suffering from his addiction,” wrote Salfen-Tracy. “I am hesitant on sharing but many people ask how things are going so I feel I should share. I have learned along this path that so many people and families deal with the same heartache but just do not talk about it.”

A graduate from the University of Missouri, Bishop reportedly moved to Las Vegas and is likely still hooked on the drugs.

“Cody is still homeless in Las Vegas and I have not heard from him in weeks now,” explained Salfen-Tracy. “Hearing how bad he is doing is hard but not hearing at all is worse.”

Because he has not contacted her, the panicked mom is praying for his safe return.

At first glance, the two photos of Bishop taken just seven months apart, appear to be of two different people. The first photo of Bishop shows a smiling, handsome, husky guy with light blond hair. But the second image shows him sneering while frightfully emaciated with bruises up and down his arms and legs.

“This is how fast someone is affected. . . . Let’s get a hold of this issue, America, and help each other," warned Salfen-Tracy. “And Cody (if) you see this, please call us. . . . We love you!”
