5 people shot, 1 fatally, at residence in Chicago’s Dunning neighborhood: fire department

Five people were shot inside a residence on Chicago’s Northwest Side, according to the fire department.

One person is believed to have died in the shooting, and four others have been taken to area hospitals in serious condition, all suffering gunshot wounds, Chicago Fire Department Deputy District Chief Walter Schroeder said.

The shooting occurred at about 5:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of West Irving Park Road, Schroeder said.
