NETFLIX has a clever TV upgrade that’s available to millions of app fans.
It’s easy to miss – but it can make a huge difference to the way you watch TV shows and movies.

Netflix has bundled in Spatial Audio as part of its Premium plan.
That’s the most expensive of Netflix’s plans – so check your account to see if you’ve got it first.
Spatial Audio is a special sound effect that enhances stereo audio for an “immersive cinematic” experience.
The advantage is that it works without you needing expensive surround sound speakers or fancy home theatre equipment.
Aside from needing a Premium plan, the other catch is that not all Netflix TV shows and movies support Spatial Audio.
But plenty do, including some of Netflix’s most popular content.
“Netflix spatial audio brings an immersive, cinematic sound experience on any device with no additional equipment required,” Netflix explained.
If you’ve got Netflix Premium, Spatial Audio will activate automatically when you’re watching a compatible TV show or movie in stereo audio.
You can find these compatible titles by simply searching for “Spatial Audio” in the Netflix search bar.
And you’ll also see a small Spatial Audio icon (which looks like a speaker) next to the TV show or movie description.
Netflix Premium – what do you get?
Sadly Netflix Premium doesn’t come cheap.
It’ll cost you $19.99 / £15.99 every single month, which is a hefty sum to pay.
But it gets you a whole host of perks beyond just Spatial Audio.
It allows you to watch on four supported devices at one time.
And you get access to the full roster of TV shows, movies and mobile games.
You can watch in 4K Ultra HD – a perk unavailable on cheaper plans – with ad-free viewing included.
The Netflix Premium plan also lets you download TV shows and movies to watch offline on six supported devices at a time.
