BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man was taken to a local hospital after an early morning shooting in the 3000 block of North Street, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. EMS confirmed that the shooting victim was transported in critical condition.
The reported shooting happened around 12:20 a.m. and left the victim with a gunshot wound to the head, officials said.
The investigation remains ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
