BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Lady Tigers have been the center of everyone’s attention since their big National Championship title win, and they’re keeping the party going back home in the Capital City.
Dick’s Sporting Goods hosted an autograph signing with Angel Reese for Lady Tiger fans. 200 wristbands were given out to people to take pictures with Reese and get her autograph.
“First two games I went wild,” said Barbra O’Bear.
Fans waited in line outside the store with excitement to meet Reese. She said she was happy to see so many show up.
“When I rode past it was so many people outside I didn’t know how many people were going to come out today, so to see all those people come out and support me, it’s amazing to see people smile,” said Reese.
“Truly an amazing experience, we were screaming, yelling, and crying, a lot of crying,” said a member of the Carrington family.
It wouldn’t be a celebration without the support from other Bayou Barbies. Fans say the best part about the event was being able to interact and talk with Reese. There was music and plenty of merchandise for fans to purchase.
“I wanted to bring the championship back to Baton Rouge so to be able to come back to the community and sign a few things for people and to have a lot of people in the community excited, and happy,” said Reese.
