The business growth of London and London and Partners consultancy has recently introduced ‘London’s 2030 Tourism Vision’.
The 2030 Tourism Vision is supported by the Mayor of London and is based on “extensive research, stakeholder roundtables, a written consultation and analysis.”
Some of the discoveries include:
- Six out of 10 nationals of Britain are quite sure about booking a city break after the fading of the pandemic.
- Around 60% of the British nationals are proud to call London their capital city.
- For maximum British, the favorite attraction of London is its historic sites, like, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and London Eye featuring in the top five choices.
- For travelers, green issues are turning out to be their top consideration, with more than half of Brits saying they think about their carbon footprint while booking a vacation.
The four pillars:
For the industry, the vision sets a way on the way to attain this by 2030, through four pillars:
- Organizing the destination – the way London can develop on its offerings, enhance data sharing and visitor knowledge.
- Maximising the effect for the Londoners – the way tourism drives positive change for London and its residents.
- Leading in sustainability – in supporting London and the UK’s target, the way the sector plays its part.
- Redefining success – how London gauges the impact and shapes the growth of future.
