ED Sheeran received permission to build a “place of retreat” on his huge £3.7million estate – and it looks like Noah’s ark.
The Shape of You singer has been splashing the cash on his Suffolk home and this is just the latest addition.
His father-in-law Matthew Seaborn submitted plans for a “private place of retreat for contemplation and prayer” on the property.
The plans say the structure would used for “celebration of key life and family milestones, family and social gatherings, marriages, christenings and so forth”.
“It would also allow the applicant’s family, friends and colleagues to be able to enjoy these things and join them in their observance,” it adds.
The superstar was denied a chapel on the property last year.
Ed lives on the property with his wife and childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn.
He added to the 116-acre land a 110ft football pitch, complete with goals and markings.
There’s also a wildlife pond and a private helipad on the fields.
The star – who has an estimated worth of £40million – extended his Suffolk estate last year by buying two more large houses in the local village.
The estate includes four large houses, an indoor swimming pool, a four-room treehouse and an underground “man-cave” complete with a personal cinema and music room.
Last year the star paid himself £17.1million from record and songwriting sales – the equivalent of £47,000.
The company, Ed Sheeran Limited, made £19.26million profit, on top of £607million raked in from the Divide world tour.
