Fans aren't happy with Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) after she seemingly dissed Selena Gomez upon the release of the singer's new song, "Lose You to Love Me."
Gomez, 27, dropped the track at midnight on Wednesday, and fans immediately began speculating that lyrics like "In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy" meant the song was about moving on from ex Justin Bieber. The 25-year-old singer began dating his now-wife less than three months after he and Gomez split in March 2018.
Just after the song came out, the model took to her Instagram Story and shared a screenshot of the song, "I'll Kill You," by Summer Walker.
Twitter users quickly began accusing her of dissing Gomez, due to the song's message and the timing of the post.

Other fans thought the post was "immature" on Bieber's part, considering Gomez was apparently "closing the chapter" of her and Justin's on-off relationship.

Some of Gomez's fans also pointed out the contrast between Bieber's apparent reaction and that of Gomez, who expressed gratitude on her own Instagram Story for being where she feels she's "meant to be."

"This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album," Gomez said in a statement.
She added: "I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one's life. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself."
Gomez reunited with Justin in October 2017, and the pair dated for about five months before splitting up in late March 2018. By June of that year, the "Sorry" singer was dating the 22-year-old model. The couple married in a Manhattan courthouse in September 2018, and then had a second wedding ceremony last month in South Carolina.
Hailey Bieber's representatives did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
