ANTON Du Beke believes he and Emma Barton can win this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The pro dancer, 53, hasn’t fared well in recent seasons, having been eliminated early with Ruth Langsford and Susannah Constantine, but he feels he finally has a partner capable of claiming the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Speaking on today’s Chris Evans Virgin Radio Breakfast Show, he said: “Honestly, I think she can go all the way. I do because I think she’s amazing. I think she is tremendous.

Host Chris then joked: “Can you go all the way?”

Ever the joker, Anton, 51, replied: “I will take the inhaler and I’ll be fine. Lie down in the afternoons.”

The compliments for Emma continued during the chat, with Anton saying she conducts herself like a “proper dancer”.

“She’s really super to spend time with in the studio, because she really does love the dancing.

“It’s really lovely from my perspective, because I can talk to her like a proper dancer as opposed to sort of a sort of student beginner.

“She tries everything she wants to. You know, I’m not feeling like I’m making it easy or, oh, I won’t do that in my mind thinking I won’t do that because remember, I’m doing everything with her and trying everything with her.

For Halloween week the pair are dressing as the Queen of Hearts and the King of Clubs, respectively, and are dancing a Tango to Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach.

The pairing has impressed judges and viewers[/caption]

And after all that dancing Anton still has plenty of energy for his two-year-old twins.

He said: “It’s the most wonderful, brilliant thing. And they’re really together. And it’s it’s beautiful. And I and I love every second of it.

If I honestly if I was younger and wealthier I’d have 50, I’d have hundreds of them. I love it. I love it!”
