BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A news conference on the “Brave Cave” is happening at 9 a.m. in the 4000 block of Plank Road. Gary Chambers along with two attorneys and Professor Thomas Frampton are expected to provide details about their investigation into what is being called a “torture warehouse.”
Mayor Broome spoke about the investigation into this facility last month. Organizers said the news conference will focus on reform, community impact, accountability and transparency as well as new findings.
According to organizers, “They will also announce a new federal lawsuit alleging BRPD’s
official policy was to conduct illegal, sexually humiliating strip searches of those taken to the
torture warehouse.”
