TWITTER has been hit by an outage leaving some users unable to use the service.
More than a thousand users reported issues to DownDetector from around 8.30am UK time on Monday.
Is Twitter down?
On June 12 there was a surge in reported cases of Twitter being down.
The DownDetector site picked up on more than 1,700 complaints.
Though it’s not exactly clear what the full extent of the outage is.
It’s also not known whether the issues are widespread or limited to some users.
How can I check if Twitter is down?
Anyone who wants to check if their Twitter account is fully operating should first try to log into their account.
If the message: “This page is down. I scream… You scream… We all scream… for us to fix this page. We’ll stop making jokes and get things up and running soon” appears, then the site is down for you.
Despite an uptick in outage reports, some users are still able to access the site with no problems.
Users can also check DownDetector to see if others are experiencing similar issues with the app.
Another way is by checking Twitter’s own service status page.
