Three people were killed early Friday when a car they were riding in struck a pole, flipped and caught fire on the Far Southeast Side, Chicago police said.
The crash happened around 1:10 a.m. in the 3300 block of East 100th Street near the East Side neighborhood.
The driver of a Chevy sedan was speeding west on 100th when the car hit a light pole, police said. The sedan then flipped onto the roof and caught fire.
The driver and two passengers were pronounced dead on scene.
