A man has been charged after a homeless man's clothing and sleeping bag were torched.
Lewis Crabtree, of no fixed abode, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
The 27-year-old has also been charged with three shoplifting offences.
Crabtree is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 21.
Police were called to reports of a serious assault of a 26-year-old man at the Harpurhey Shopping Centre on Sunday, November 17.
The victim did not suffer any injuries, but his clothing was damaged by the blaze.
