Hidden Boots discounts for mums and dads - what you get from Parenting Club

In the first month of a baby’s life parents spend, on average, £500 on essentials like nappies, feeding equipment, clothes and new furniture, a study by MyVoucherCodes found.

Over the first year of a newborn's life, the extra costs add up to an incredible £11,498, LV worked out.

But the good news is mums and dads can get extra money off essentials as part of Boots Parenting Club .

Open to people with an Advantage Card, membership of the club is free to anyone who is pregnant or has a child under five.

As part of the deal you get 10 points for every £1 you spend on baby products you buy from Boots - up from 4 points for standard Advantage Card members - although it doesn't apply to infant milks up to six months.

You also get extra offers and gifts in the form of coupons to be redeemed in store or online - Plus, receive a free Childs Farm gift, worth £10.99, when you join.

It costs nothing to apply

Then there are the double and triple points promotions on top as well as free Boots Parenting Club mailings, magazines and expert advice.

To get involved to need to be an Advantage Card member, which is free to sign up to , and present your card when you shop to receive the 10 points offer.

To take advantage of gifts you need to download the Boots App and activate the free gift offer, although Boots can also send coupons through the post sometimes.

Oh, and the offer can be combined with the Boots Student Discount, meaning people who qualify for both also get 10% discount as well as 4 points per £1 on applicable purchases.
