IF KFC’s popcorn chicken is your vice you might want to head to Scotland where the chicken chain is testing a massive 80-piece popcorn chicken bucket for just £5.99.
The fast-food specialist has revealed it’s trialling the ginormous bucket at ten of its restaurants in Glasgow until November 17 – see the full list below.
If popular, the offer could be rolled out nationwide.
In response to one user who asked the fast-food chain if it was a nationwide deal, KFC tweeted: “Not at the mo; we’re seeing how the trial goes down in ten restaurants in Glasgow.
“All going well, we might consider a nationwide release.”
And chicken fans are already excited. One person tweeted: “Saw a post that KFC is doing 80 pieces of popcorn chicken for £5.99 and now I want 80 pieces of popcorn chicken for £5.99.”
Another wrote: “That 80 piece KFC popcorn chicken would bang after a night out.”
While someone else added: “You guys trying to make us all eat until we pop? @KFC_UKI… This and the 20 hot wings for 5.99 is going to be the death of me.
“Popcorn chicken is life.”
You can currently buy popcorn chicken as a large side or as a snackbox, although KFC doesn’t include prices on its website so its unclear how much these cost or how many calories is in them.
We’ve asked KFC and we’ll update this story if we get a response.
If the popcorn chicken deal is anywhere near as successful as KFC’s recent vegan burger trial though, which sold out in four days, then the popcorn chicken will fly off counters.
That said, the vegan burger is yet to make it onto the menu permanently.
If you don’t live near one of the trial stores, you might want to snap up KFC’s 20-piece hot wings bucket instead, also for £5.99.
