Strictly Come Dancing fans were thrilled as Zoe Ball finally returned to host It Takes Two tonight after a nasty illness.

The 48-year-old, whose son Woody is currently charming viewers on Channel 4's The Circle, poked fun at her sickness during the intro today.

Zoe was clearly ecstatic to be back as she ran down the stairs and shimmied on the studio floor.

"I'm back baby, yes I am!" she exclaimed as the crew clapped. "After a bout of flu that had be dance floored and Strictly bedridden, but who wouldn't get up for a line-up like this?"

Today's line-up all wore masks as they jokingly looked warily towards Zoe.
