David Platt will be visited in prison by lawyer Imran Habeeb in Coronation Street next week. And the hunky legal eagle has some less than good news for the jailbird hairstylist.
Following a terrifying riot in the prison, Imran (Charlie De Melo) sees a video taken from inside.
The clip shows rapist Josh Tucker collapse after being stabbed.
It also shows David being very close to him at the time of the stabbing, implicating him in the attack.
The hairdresser – played by Jack P. Shepherd in the ITV soap – is currently banged up for stealing his grandmother Audrey’s inheritance with brother Nick Tilsley.
A stunned David swears it wasn’t him, but with even his family, including fiancée Shona Ramsay questioning his version of events, is he looking at even more time behind bars?
The Sun exclusively revealed that vile Josh – who drugged and raped David last year – would be returning to Weatherfield in July.
More details about Josh’s return were revealed in September when we learned that the sex attacker would be joining David in prison, where he would be stabbed in a melee as inmates riot.
To make matters worse, David’s family watch the drama unfold on the news as police surround the prison.
David manages to call Shona from inside the jail during the riot.
He tells her Josh has been stabbed – and it doesn’t look like he is going to make it.
But when she asks whether he stabbed him, David does not answer.
David will be adamant that he wasn’t the one who attacked Josh but the video leaves his nearest and dearest questioning him.
Corrie fans will see Josh – who’s played by Ryan Clayton – return tomorrow night.
