Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria are expecting a baby girl.
The 61-year-old actor is set to welcome his fifth child with Hilaria and the couple have now revealed that they’ll be adding another daughter to their brood.
Alec and Hilaria are already parents to Carmen, six, Rafael, four, Leonardo, three and Romeo, one, and they decided to enlist the help of their kids to announce the sex of their unborn baby.
In theory, it’s a real cute idea but the finished product turned out to be a little chaotic (albeit sweet), so to speak.
Hilaria shared the video to her Instagram page, which was meant to show all four of her kids being handed a baby doll wrapped up in a white sheet.
They were told by their mum and dad to unwrap the sheet to reveal the doll was wearing a pink outfit – ergo Alec and Hilaria are having a girl.
But, of course, things don’t exactly run smoothly with children, especially when you’ve got four on your hands – so trying to organise a synchronised unveiling didn’t exactly go to plan.
After plenty of reshuffling and a lot of prompting, Alec and Hilaria’s eldest daughter Carmen was first to it.
‘Our little reveal, we are so excited,’ Hilaria said.
She and Alec had announced their baby news in September, telling fans they are ‘so excited’ to be expecting again after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage just months before in the spring.
Hilaria wrote on Instagram alongside a video of her baby’s heartbeat: ‘The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy — especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring.
‘We want to share this news as we are excited and don’t want to hide the pregnancy.’
Alec is also dad to 23-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin, who he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
